On Wednesday evening, RMC Story launched a new program, "Les Cancres", at 9 p.m. The principle is simple: personalities, with laborious studies, come to meet students with academic difficulties. Gad Elmaleh and Black M are the first guests on a long list of entrepreneurs, writers and perhaps even lawyers.

If you too have not been a good student… then here is a program made for you! Not to give you remedial lessons but rather to tell you that you may have been a dunce and get away with it in life. RMC Story is launching its new show, Les Cancres, on Wednesday. The concept is simple: pupils in difficulty or even failing at school will meet personalities who have succeeded, despite laborious studies. The first two episodes will be broadcast at 9 p.m. with Gad Elmaleh and Black M as guests.

Personalities from all walks of life

But these two guests should not encourage to draw a general conclusion about the program, ensures the production. "We did not want to suggest starification, to say that the dunces we want to talk about are all stars of entertainment," says Nicolas Cennac, the producer and designer of the program. "We also want it (entertainment stars) because it's very interesting, but we also wanted entrepreneurs, literary people like Cécile Ladjali, novelist, lawyers. Hopefully we should shoot with Eric Dupond-Moretti . We don't want to suggest the idea that when you are a dunce, either you become nothing or you become someone very well known. This is not true. Obviously, there are 10,000 paths. "

In addition to certain personalities such as Gad Elmaleh and Black M, we also find Adrien Aumont, the creator of the crowdfunding site KissKissBankBank. "I decided to participate in this program because you are alone when you are dunce, when you are a school dropout. It is difficult to find people to discuss this with," says the entrepreneur.

"I think that being able to turn on your television and have a testimony from someone 35 years old who was a dunce, who dropped out at 14, and see that today young people of 16, 17 years old are in the same difficulties, the same situation, I think you can turn off your television and talk about it with your parents. You will see more clearly, you will be more reassured and you will feel less alone. A 26-minute program allows you to talk about it 2 hours behind. "

Coach Joe's intermediary

At the head of this program, a personality not necessarily known to the general public, but much more of a part of show business: Joël Bouraïma, better known under the pseudonym of coach Joe, who also had difficulties school before becoming coach of big stars like Kanye West. "Me, that's what I would have liked when I was young, someone who had a dream and who realized it, showing me that it was possible," says the coach.

He will act as an intermediary during the broadcast between students and personalities. "With all the guests, what stands out is: 'I dreamed of it and I am doing it. We were like you and we did it.' The exchange is built on that, but at no point does it say 'look, it's going to be easy' ". No way, in fact, to glorify dropping out of school.

The good point of this new show is that it does not serve as the umpteenth promotion program for artists and it is not the appearance of a star who comes to lecture in front of a class, but really an almost informal meeting between teenagers and a former student in difficulty, like them.
