Extract from the Ghostbusters teaser: Afterlife - Ferrari / Starface
After Disney and Universal, it's Sony Pictures' turn to reorganize the releases of its flagship films for the coming months. The studio has announced that the release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife , the new installment of the cult franchise, is postponed until March 2021. The feature film was due out in July.
Morbius , an adaptation of the Marvel comics with Jared Leto in the role of the anti-hero of the Spider-Man universe, also scheduled for July, will not arrive until next year either, as has confirmed Deadline.
Patience and length of time
That's not all. Tom Hanks' next film, Greyhound , due to be released on June 12, has been postponed to an unknown date! Bad news for the actor, who was recently struck personally by the disease and who could not return home to Los Angeles until the beginning of the week, after being confined to Australia.
The delay of Ghostbusters: Afterlife is very bad news for the spectators who impatiently awaited the film. After the relative failure of the 100% female reboot in 2016, a return to the origins of the cult film series, directed by Jason Reitman (the son of Ivan, director of the very first film released in 1984), seemed to be cut to make pleasure to the fans.
