American actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, the first Hollywood stars to be declared infected with the new "Corna" virus, have returned to their home in Los Angeles after staying in quarantine in Australia for more than two weeks.

Tom Hanks tweeted, “We're in our house right now. And we go home like all Americans, and we practice social divergence, ”according to the instructions in force in the state of California in the southwest of the country.

The actor (63 years old) added: “A thousand thanks to all who care about us in Australia. Their care and advice allowed us to return to the United States. ” Tom Hanks, his wife, actress and singer Rita Weibson, announced on March 11 that they had contracted the virus, while in Australia.

The American actor, who won several Oscar awards, was in the Gold Coast area near Brisbane (Central Eastern Australia) to shoot a film about Elvis Presley's biography, directed by Australian Baz Luhrmann, when the two men contracted the virus.

As for Rita Wilson, she held concerts in Sydney and Brisbane before she was diagnosed with the virus.

The couple were admitted to the University Hospital in Gold Coast, in the state of Queensland (northeast), before they were allowed to leave to continue the home quarantine in an apartment.

On March 11, the couple announced that they had contracted the virus, while in Australia.
