The prohibition to access beaches on the entire French coastline applies to everyone. But some water sports enthusiasts still struggle to understand the message. This is particularly the case for certain surfers and kitesurfers who are in the sights of the Prefect of Finistère. Nearly twenty fondues of boardsports have already been the subject of a ticket in recent days in the department.

But "reports are regularly reported, as was the case a few days ago on the beach of Kervilzic" in Loctudy, deplores the prefect of Finistère in a press release. Regretting that "some continue to practice their activities in defiance of strict travel supervision measures", he "calls on everyone to show responsibility and good citizenship in these exceptional circumstances".

His Morbihan counterpart Patrice Faure has just renewed the prefectural order prohibiting access to beaches and coastal paths which ended on Tuesday. The ban now runs until April 15.
