Sudanese doctor Amjad Al-Hourani joined the first leading doctors who lost their lives in the United Kingdom due to infection with the Corona virus. According to the BBC website, the doctor had been working at Derby and Burton University Hospitals.

The Hawarni family thanked the colleagues of the deceased in the National Health Service for their "desperate" attempts to rescue him.

Al-Hourani's death came three days after the death of Adel Al-Tayyar, the Sudanese surgeon in London, who passed away last Wednesday, also affected by infection with the Corona virus.

Al-Hourani's family said in a statement that her deceased was a "loving and loved husband, son, father, brother, and friend ... his greatest passion for his family and his profession, and he devoted his life to them ... We would like to thank all those who participated in his care for their kindness and sympathy during his illness" .

Hospital executive director Gavin Boyle said that Al-Hourani was "known for his dedication to serving his patients."
