A large number of animals have been killed in an indoor zoo in Changsha, and the Forestry Bureau has been involved in the investigation

On the afternoon of the 30th, a staff member of the Wildlife and Plant Protection Division of the Changsha Forestry Bureau told the reporter of the Beijing News that he “has been involved in the investigation”.

On March 26, a short video platform released a video to the public that an indoor zoo in Changsha City was reported, and a large number of animals were suspected of being starved to death. The video showed that animals were eating animals, and said that before January 24, animals had died. In the video, the clerk stated that "the company's loss and outbreak caused some animals to starve to death."

The Beijing News reporter found that the indoor zoo in question was named Changsha “Animal Party” theme park. After searching, the park has two stores in Yuhua District and Yuelu District.

On the afternoon of the 30th, a reporter from the Beijing News called the Wild Animal and Plant Protection Division of the Changsha Forestry Bureau to learn about the situation, and a staff member confirmed the situation.

A reporter from the Beijing News browsed the park's leaflet and found that the park involved had more than 200 animals in total, covering 80 major species in the three major areas of sea, land and air. The Yuhua District store opened on December 27, 2019, and business has been booming since it opened.

"Their ticket price setting is quite low, and customers come to watch and try to play every day," a merchant near the park told the Beijing News reporter.

The Beijing News reporter learned that the stores in the Yuhua District of the park involved have all transferred the animals to the Yuelu District stores.

A "Supervision and Inspection Record" issued by the Animal Health Supervision Office of the Yuelu District of Changsha showed that the supervision agency had sent people to the stores of the Yuelu District for inspection. The checklist showed that there were cats, dogs, alpaca, foxes, fire Chickens, crocodiles, etc. have no death or illness; however, there are problems such as "incomplete on-site facilities and poor sanitation environment during construction".

On the afternoon of the 30th, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from a staff member in the shopping mall where the store was located in Yuhua District that the animals had been cleaned up in the store in Yuhua District, the outside environment of the store had also been cleaned up, and disinfection was performed daily.

Subsequently, the staff of the Wild Animal and Plant Protection Division of the Changsha Forestry Bureau told the reporter of the Beijing News that "they have been involved in investigating the incident." Because the staff in charge of investigating the incident went out in the afternoon, they can call the survey results on the morning of 31st.
