Three cases were newly infected: men in their 50s and 60s living in Fukui City, and men in the 50s living in Echizen City, all of whom are corporate officers.
According to Fukui Prefecture, among them, men in their 50s in Echizen City have symptoms of fever, and the prefecture says "slightly heavier than mild". On the other hand, the other two have mild symptoms.
The three had symptoms such as fever and cough from the 21st to the 22nd of this month. After that, they went to a medical institution and were confirmed to be infected by a virus test on the 28th, and were hospitalized at a designated infectious disease medical institution.
All three have no history of staying outside the prefecture for two weeks before the onset, but have had contact with or had a relationship with a person who has been infected in the prefecture so far.
The prefecture requested that two families of men in their 60s in Fukui City and two families of men in their 50s in Echizen City wait at home as close contacts, and observe whether their health condition will change in the future. In addition to doing so, we are examining in detail whether there are any other close contacts.
