Ibaraki Prefecture has announced that it has been found that women in their 50s and men in their 70s living in the prefecture were infected with the new coronavirus. This is 12 cases in Ibaraki Prefecture where infection was confirmed.

New cases of infection were found in women in their 50s living in Tsukuba City and men in their 70s living in Tsukuba Mirai City.

Among them, a woman in her 50s was a student of a social dance instructor in Tsukuba City who was found infected on 24th of this month. The symptoms are mild.

A man in his 70s had a 37-degree fever between the 19th and the 20th of this month, and was hospitalized because of pneumonia. The infection was confirmed on the 27th. This means that oxygen is needed.

The route of transmission in men is unknown and will continue to be investigated.

It was 12 people that the infection was confirmed in the prefecture.

"I can't tell if there is a group or cluster of infected people in the prefecture yet. I'd like you to continue your caution when moving to urban areas such as Tokyo." I called.
