Since France has been hit by coronavirus, emergency numbers have been bombarded with calls. And there are many who try to reach the police by dialing 17. Calls which, too often, do not concern urgent situations. In order to respond to "requests from citizens", the national police launched this Thursday a chat accessible to all. Objective: to unclog on the 17th, reserved for emergencies.

[# PoliceConnected] We are setting up a digital platform #TchatPolice to answer all your questions on the functioning of #police services during # COVID19 during the phase of #confinement.https: //t.co/9nqwXggOge pic.twitter .com / zZhX1UXW5q

This platform is accessible seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. from the national police website. Officers answer questions from Internet users "on the functioning of the police services" during confinement, said the institution on its website. "The police officers will guide Internet users according to the nature of their requests," she adds.
