Musicians from Russia, Europe and the USA continue the flash mob in support of their fans and other music lovers, who are forced not to go outside due to the spread of the coronavirus. Performers conduct online concerts (sometimes even directly from their homes), which anyone can watch.

So, on the evening of March 26, an online concert was held from the recording studio of the Russian group Quatro. The event was broadcast on the Odnoklassniki social network.

The quartet sang cover versions of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah hits, “If There Weren't You ...” (Russian version of Joe Dassin’s Et Si Tu N'Existais Pas), “Violin and Fox” by Igor Sarukhanov and “On the Lilac Moon” by Leonid Agutin . In addition, Leonid Ovrutsky accompanied himself and his colleagues on the piano, and Anton Sergeyev performed a solo on a wind melody.

The musicians also told fans that in conditions of self-isolation, they had more time for rehearsals and creativity.

On the official Quatro page on the Vkontakte social network, fans of the group noted the importance of such initiatives in such a difficult time.

“Thank you for the live concert! We’ve rested from our problems! ” - the listener from Minsk thanked the collective. Some users also noted that the group managed to achieve a sense of presence, and time flew by.

One of the pioneers in the online concert format was Coldpaly vocalist Chris Martin. On March 17, he was broadcast live on Instagram for half an hour communicating with the audience and performing hits of the group - including Sky Full of Stars and Viva La Vida, accompanying himself on the guitar and piano.

On the same day, the Irish folk rock band Dropkich Murphys played a live YouTube live concert dedicated to St. Patrick's Day. Recording was conducted on the stage of the Boston club in an empty hall.

The leader of U2, Bono, on holiday, presented on the group’s Facebook page a new song, Let Your Love Be Known, which he dedicated to doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers who are struggling with the spread of the virus.

Then the rapper Basta (Vasily Vakulenko) and the young artist T-Fest performed. The show was broadcast in the official Gazgolder group on the Vkontakte social network, as well as on YouTube.

Robbie Williams pleased fans with a broadcast from his own bedroom. He called the broadcast "crown karaoke session" and accepted applications from listeners.

A bright online event was the concert of the Russian group Bi-2 in the Okko cinema. Fans watched the concert with friends and families, many emphasized that they experienced the same emotions that they usually get during real shows.

“Do you think there was no applause, screams, screams and dances? You are mistaken. Now my neighbors know the words of the Bi-2 songs, and under “My Rock and Roll” even the lighter burned, ”a fan of the group wrote in the comments on the broadcast on the Vkontakte social network.

French singer and actor Patrick Bruel made it a rule to share his work with fans several times a week: he goes live on Facebook and then posts on Instagram. In addition, the artist publishes small music videos almost daily.

The leader of the band Death Cab for Cutie, Benjamin Gibbard, conducts daily acoustic solo concerts on Facebook and even allows viewers to choose a repertoire. In addition, on March 20, the musician introduced the new song Life in Quarantine. Gibbard's concert announcements are accompanied by contacts from charitable and medical organizations that need help.

Olga Buzova decided to join the new trend. She conducted a live broadcast of her rehearsal on Instagram, which was watched by more than 70 thousand people. Fans of the artist, however, claim that there were half a million spectators - if they are right, then Buzova managed to gather an audience of dozens of concert venues.

On March 24, Linkin Park also contacted fans. Together with the fans, the musicians watched and discussed the recording of their 2001 concert.

On March 20, Denis Matsuev opened the “Home Season” of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic. Also involved in the project are Yuri Bashmet and his ensemble "Soloists of Moscow", pianist Andrei Gugnin, cellist Alexander Buzlov and other musicians and bands.

In the coming days, the Odnoklassniki social network will present concerts by Mitya Fomin and BURITO, as well as the Surganova and Orchestra apartment building.

A combined concert is planned for March 28 at Crocus City Hall, where Polina Gagarina, Grigory Leps, Valeria, Nikolai Baskov, Disco Crash, Reflex and other performers will perform. The event is organized by Russian Radio, the broadcast will take place on social networks, on the RU.TV channel and on Yandex.Air.

On March 29, a concert by Julia Zivert (Zivert) will be held on the PREMIER platform. It will be a full-fledged show with musicians and a dance group. The program announced songs from the debut solo album of the singer Vinyl # 1, which was released in the fall of 2019.

On March 29, the American television channel FOX31 will host a live broadcast of speeches by Billy Elish, Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys and Green Day team leader Billy Joe Armstrong. All of them will connect to the broadcast from their homes. Lead a project called iHeart Living Room Concert for America will be Elton John. On the channel’s on-air grid, the show will replace the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
