Some residents of Sanary-sur-Mer are not close to seeing the beach anytime soon. The DVD mayor of this Var seaside resort, Ferdinand Bernhard, has indeed issued a decree prohibiting his citizens from going more than ten meters from their homes, in the context of the coronavirus health crisis.

"Of course you can take out your trash, of course you can go and collect your mail from the mailbox", tries to reassure the councilor in a video. The mayor of Sanary-sur-Mer had earlier this week issued a decree prohibiting his citizens from buying a single baguette every time he went to the bakery, at the risk of incurring a fine of 135 euros.
