Technology and Engineering Industries Company (Bosch) announced yesterday, Wednesday, that it is developing a new device that can detect corona virus in less than two and a half hours.

The company stated in a statement that the Corona virus rapid detection device works completely automatically and is designed for use in hospitals, clinics, and other health facilities.

"Bush" added that the device's experience achieved accuracy of more than 95%, adding that it meets the quality standards of the World Health Organization.

It is noteworthy that detection of infection with the new corona virus in Germany currently takes between 4 and 5 hours, and the time may be between obtaining the sample from the patient, and receiving the result is longer than that due to resorting to external laboratories to analyze the sample, according to the German "Robert Koch" Institute for Medical Studies .

The Bush system enables the full analysis to be performed inside the hospital or clinic. The new device was developed within six weeks, and it is expected to be put to use in Germany next April, and then in other countries later.

A spokesman for the company said that it is still awaiting obtaining the approval of the relevant authorities to put the device for use, even though some laboratories have obtained a number of it for use according to certain conditions.

He did not disclose the device cost or the cost of analyzing a single sample using it.
