The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned of the United States turning into a new epicenter of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, after a "very large acceleration" of recorded infections.

WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris told reporters on Tuesday that 85 percent of new cases during the past 24 hours were in Europe and the United States, and 40 percent of them were registered in the United States.

Asked if the United States was the epicenter of the new coronavirus, Harris said: "We are now seeing a very large acceleration of cases in the United States, so it is very possible.

She added: The number of confirmed cases in the United States is rising sharply.

The United States is moving at a fast pace after the death toll from the virus rose to 586 on Monday, a sharp rise of more than 100 cases in a single day.

During the past week, the country recorded more than 11,000 new positive cases, exceeding the total number of 51,000 injuries.

To date Italy has the largest number of corona virus deaths in the world, exceeding 6000, after China has surpassed.
