[Explanation] On March 24, the State Council's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference. At the meeting, Wu Zunyou, a researcher at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, introduced China's experience in combating the new crown pneumonia epidemic.

[Explanation] Wu Zunyou said that China has suffered the first shock wave of the new crown pneumonia global pandemic, giving China the opportunity to learn about new crown pneumonia earlier than other countries. China's prevention and control guidelines have also been translated into English and announced to the world And share. Among them, the most important is that China has adopted a basic principle for dealing with infectious diseases, that is, formulating control strategies from three aspects: the source of infection, the route of transmission, and the susceptible population.

For the source of infection, we take "four early" measures, early detection, early reporting, early isolation, and early treatment. The second is to cut off the transmission route. Now everyone wears a mask, cleans his hands, and ventilates. This is to cut off its transmission. How to protect susceptible people? At that time, we extended the Spring Festival holiday and kept a certain distance between people. This was a measure to protect vulnerable groups. What is the core of these three links? The core is to separate the source of infection from the susceptible population.

[Explanation] Wu Zunyou pointed out that the current situation of global new crown pneumonia is not optimistic. Although the epidemic situation in China has been temporarily controlled, the epidemic situation abroad has continued to rise, so the pressure to prevent imports in China's hub regions and port cities is increasing. He introduced that China has established "three lines of defense" to defend against imported cases abroad.

[Concurrent] Researcher Wu Zunyou, China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The first line of defense, the customs is the first line of defense for foreign infected people when they enter the customs. The Customs measures the body temperature, asks for symptoms, and reports on the travel history of the past 14 days. After screening, they are sent directly to the designated medical institution for treatment. The second line of defense, after the entry of personnel, 14 days of quarantine observation. The third line of defense, in case the first and second lines are missing, he must go to the doctor after the patient has symptoms. Our medical staff has already been aware of this, and once a patient is diagnosed and treated quickly.

[Explanation] Wu Zunyou introduced that at present, the imported cases in China can be detected on the first and second lines of defense, and no patients have been found on the third line of defense.

[Explanation] A reporter asked a question. The WHO classified asymptomatic infection as a confirmed diagnosis, and mainland China separates asymptomatic infection from confirmed cases. What is the reason? Wu Zunyou responded that asymptomatic infection is PCR positive, but asymptomatic people. Some of these people will have symptoms and become diagnosed patients, while others will be asymptomatic. Regardless of whether symptoms occur, asymptomatic infection will occur. Get managed.

Will it spread? will not. why? In China, the current management measures, close contacts have been included in the quarantine observation, and the quarantine observation is independent. Once symptoms occur, they are immediately transferred to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment, which will not cause social spread. We should pay close attention to this kind of risk, so we are paying close attention to this issue in terms of prevention measures.
