Spanish press reports revealed that the Barcelona club - the league champion - is trying to restore its former Brazilian star, Neymar, and that he is seeking to entice his current team, Paris Saint-Germain, with four players at once.
The Spanish sports newspaper Sport said that Barcelona - who failed in the negotiations to restore Neymar in two attempts by the last summer and winter Mercato - created a tempting plan for Saint Germain, with an offer that included French defender Samuel Umtetti, Croatian Ivan Rakitic, Chile Arturo Vidal and Brazilian Felipe Coutinho, in exchange for Neymar.
The newspaper pointed out that the overstatement of Saint-Germain is behind the tempting offer. He has requested 300 million euros to dispense with Neymar to Barcelona who cannot provide this huge amount, especially as he will be paid in one player only.
Barcelona is seeking to restore Neymar for several reasons, most notably: the satisfaction of the team's stars, led by captain Lionel Messi, who has repeatedly stated his desire to return his Brazilian teammate, so that defender Gerard Pique said that they offered to waive some of their dues to complete the return of the Brazilian striker.
The Spanish league champion is also seeking to restore his flabby attack by recovering the distinguished attacking trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar.
Neymar is the most expensive deal in the history of the witch round, when he moved in the summer of 2017 to Saint-Germain for 222 million euros (the value of the penalty clause), in a blow to the Catalan club.
