Set up a live broadcast in no time in a France subject to containment guidelines. This is the challenge that France 2 launched for the retransmission, this Tuesday at 9 p.m. , of #EnsembleAvecNosSoignants , a program designed to pay tribute to the healthcare personnel mobilized in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic.

To organize it, the chain must use system D as a resource. "Three days of preparation for a live broadcast, it's a real challenge," slips Alexandra Redde-Amiel, the entertainment director of France Televisions, at 20 Minutes . But we tell ourselves that the challenge is up to what the caregivers offer us. ”

A very small team on set

In recent hours, the various stakeholders have been rubbing shoulders with the joys of conference calls at fifteen. Two production companies, DMLS TV for the link with the artists and Reservoir Prod for the testimonials section, were involved.

Concretely, only the trio of animators will be on set. Namely Faustine Bollaert, Daphné Bürki and Samuel Etienne - replacing Michel Cymès at short notice having other obligations. "Everything will be in a reduced team, very refined, there will be no makeup artists, for example," says Alexandra Redde-Amiel, assuring that "all measures will be respected".

Apart from the three presenters, all the guests will speak from home. “We sent everyone an email explaining how to do it, how to frame it. They will be the ones filming themselves in Skype, FaceTime, etc. ”, informs the director of entertainment.

Songs suitable for caregivers

The artists who have been contacted come from very different backgrounds. For example, Clara Luciani, Patrick Bruel, L'Artiste, Lara Fabian, Zazie, Julien Clerc or even Claudio Capéo and Gautier Capuçon will be there. Some have chosen to adapt their songs on the occasion of this tribute to caregivers.

The program will also include a testimonial section with speeches by people who have been hospitalized and by health personnel who will insist on the message "Stay at home". It will also highlight several initiatives put in place to help, in one way or another, caregivers.

The show being built day by day, France 2 leaves itself a margin to improvise. “If we have to take artists or people who have things to say, live at the last moment, we will take them. That’s also going to be the magic, the mobilization, for a moment, of France for this tribute, ”continues Alexandra Redde-Amiel.

And to add: "The live will probably make us experience a little emotion, there may be some connection problems. But the gesture is important, necessary. ” With or without the vagaries of live, this program, by the singularity of its device and its preparation, will be a unique TV moment.
