It is not only the mayors who raise the tone in New Aquitaine. Faced with the lack of respect for the confinement rules, the regional prefect decided to do it too. Fabienne Buccio announced this Monday morning that she would take an order in the afternoon or early evening to limit the hours of the shops:

“I'm going to sign a decree to close the businesses earlier, around 8 or 9 pm. Some businesses have become meeting places in the evening, which is not possible. It concerns the Gironde where in certain cities, like Bordeaux, people tend to gather in front of neighborhood grocery stores, night shops, which goes against confinement. We have trouble stopping these phenomena, the order will make it easier for the police. "

Finally, it will be 9 p.m. decided the prefect. This Sunday, the police have drawn up no less than 1,815 PV in New Aquitaine, including 652 in Gironde. A stable figure compared to previous days.

A municipal decree in Marmande against joggers and walkers

If for the moment the prefecture has confirmed that no mayor had taken an order to establish a curfew, that of Marmande in Lot-et-Garonne will give itself the possibility of sanctioning certain joggers or walkers. They will risk a municipal ticket of around 38 euros in addition to the 135 euros, specifies Daniel Benquet at Sud Ouest. .

Curfews have so far been implemented in the Alpes-Maritimes, Hauts-de-France and Mulhouse, but also in Aude and Aveyron.
