[Explanation] On March 22, at the Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital of Hubei Province, Li Yaqin, a member of the Shanxi Support Hubei medical team, was discussing with colleagues about the use of medical anti-fog tongue-sampling devices. In order to reduce the risk of infection when doctors and nurses collected throat swabs, Li Yaqin, head nurse of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, and his colleague Pan Bo conceived and invented a medical anti-fog tongue-tongue sampling device and successfully applied for a patent.

February 28th was the 10th day of Li Yaqin's support for Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital. On the night shift, she and her colleagues were to collect throat swab specimens from 33 newly admitted patients with new coronary pneumonia.

During the collection process, the patient can be seated in the conventional theory. Our medical staff will wear goggles and face screen, and then collect the patient. Then the patient will cough and vomit during the collection process. There are droplets splashing onto our screen, then we can clearly see that the droplets fly to our screen, so there is a chance of infection for our medical staff.

[Explanation] A member of the team who collected the throat swabs came out of the isolation ward and told Li Yaqin that he saw droplets spraying on his face. These words haunted Li Yaqin's mind.

I thought of whether there is such a transparent mask, so when we go to take it, the patient vomits droplets, they will block it, reducing the chance that the droplets can be sprayed on our screen, this is my original intention, that is Want to reduce infection and reduce cross infection.

[Explanation] With this idea, Li Yaqin and Pan Bo set out to design the installation. During the epidemic, it was not easy to find a manufacturer willing to cooperate with the experiment. A friend learned her thoughts and helped find a manufacturer to map, modify, experiment, and proof. After more than 20 days of improvement, the medical anti-fog tongue-tongue sampling device has been formed and put into clinical use, and has now successfully applied for a patent.

This long place is where the tongue depressor is. We enter the tongue depressor. Through the transparent screen, we can see the throat of the patient, and then we can collect this specimen of the patient, so that it can successfully take the patient. Specimen collection rate.

[Explanation] Li Yaqin said that after the epidemic, this device can also be used in the clinic for a long time, and it is being considered to be improved into a device for suctioning sputum in critically ill patients.
