Biarritz airport will close its doors to commercial activity from Monday and "until further notice", due to the crisis of the new coronavirus and its repercussions on traffic.

The Biarritz-Basque Country Airport Syndicate took this decision after noting that "daily traffic is now limited to a few dozen travelers" and "that the airlines' program is being reduced day by day (up to -95% on the Air France short-haul network) ”.

Pau airport "will host the only daily Air France flight connecting Paris to our territory from Monday," continued the Syndicate. The airport "remains however operational and open to public air traffic for any emergency operation as well as private flights".
