Three dead for unpaid rent? This Friday, in Bouglon (Lot-et-Garonne), an 80-year-old man entered his neighbor's house armed with a hunting rifle and shot him, before killing his wife and turning the weapon against him. The young man of 26 years died on the scene of the drama. His 27-year-old partner was injured in the leg, learned 20 minutes from a source familiar with the matter. She was taken to hospital, her life would not be in danger.

According to the first elements of the investigation, this is a dispute between an owner and his tenant over unpaid rent funds. The four people all lived in the same house. The octogenarian couple owned the premises and the young couple rented part of the house.

"This is a dispute that has lasted for years between these couples who share the same home," said one side of the gendarmerie, which says it has intervened several times on this neighborhood conflict.

Just before 2 p.m., the 80-year-old man returned to his tenant, shot him and injured the young woman present. Still according to a source familiar with the matter, a neighbor who visited the author of the shots managed to remove the weapon from the octogenarian's hands. The latter then returned home, to recover another weapon. He shot his wife, before killing himself. The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmes of the Marmande brigade.
