Oita Prefecture has announced that three people, including doctors at the Oita Medical Center in Oita City, have been newly infected with the new coronavirus.
At the Oita Medical Center, four cases of inpatients and staff have been confirmed so far, and the prefecture said at a press conference that "there could be a cluster."
The prefecture has also requested the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to dispatch a “cluster response team”.
With this, the number of people infected with the new coronavirus confirmed in Oita Prefecture was eight.
