The autopsy spoke. Three days after the discovery of Hugo Toudret's body in the port of Saint-Brieuc (Côtes d'Armor), the doctors concluded that they were drowning. The 21-year-old young man disappeared on the morning of March 8 after an evening spent in the Le Magnifik Club nightclub, located on the port of Légué. Intensive searches had been carried out by the investigators to try to find him.

On Monday, a week after his disappearance, the police recovered his body from the water at Briochin harbor. "No traumatic injuries likely to evoke the violent intervention of a third party," said the public prosecutor Bertrand Leclerc. "The appearance of the body, bronchi and lungs is compatible with death by vital submersion". That is to say by drowning. The prosecutor specifies that blood and urine samples are being analyzed in order to search for possible traces of alcohol and toxic substances in the victim.

Nightclub closed for six months

Since Hugo's disappearance, the prefect has ordered a six-month administrative closure against the Magnifik Club. The nightclub had already suffered a month-long closure in January after repeated brawls. The establishment wished to challenge this measure.
