The successful academic background of Greek shoe designer Etty Lyon, and her fine art study at the Maryland Institute of Fine Arts in the United States of America, helped her to achieve clear qualitative leaps in her future career, to become a name and a global footprint, despite her young age. Etty, who presented her experiences and designs on the most important international platforms, believes that Dubai has become a necessity for any fashion designer who dreams to establish himself and develop in his work, as it has become an essential platform in the subject sector.
"After graduation, I moved to New York City to work as a fashion designer, so I was part of the fashion team in (Vogue), O, The OprahMagazine, and fashion shows in New York's famous fashion week," Etty Lyon told Emirates Today. "At this point in particular, I realized that I wanted to enter the fashion field where I was sure that I wouldn't do anything more creative than design, so I went to study accessories design at the prestigious fashion institute of technology in New York, and I got a degree in accessory design. After that, my diploma was followed by important partnerships with a number of the largest fashion brands in the world, and then by a decision to create my own shoe design line. I wanted to create a brand focused on showcasing the femininity of modern women with unique, innovative and all-new designs. ”

About the successes this young designer has dedicated to today in the field of bag and shoe design, Etty said: “In 2017, I was chosen by the European Chamber of Commerce to present my group in Vietnam, specifically in the city of Ho chi minh” as part of the European luxury product offerings. In 2018 I received an ISO award, and was chosen by the British Council of Fashion to present my collection during the London Fashion Week, which was then attracted by the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts, and it was an exceptional success experience that I live for the first time.
