Niigata City has announced that two new cases of the new coronavirus have been identified, bringing the number of infected people to 21 in Niigata Prefecture.
Newly confirmed infections were female employees in their 30s in Konan Ward, Niigata City, and male employees in their 40s in Chuo Ward, Niigata City.
Both are close contacts of men in their thirties who work for a medical device maker that was confirmed infected on the 10th of this month.
