In order to prevent the spread of the virus, the government has requested that we not worship for a while, so many churches are following it, but there are still some churches that have not done so.

Reporter Kim Young-ah pointed out how to look at this issue between religious freedom and national security.

It is the Sunday worship service of the Gwanglim Church yesterday (15th) that was broadcast simultaneously online.

Participants said that the participants were only about 20% of the usual, and the interior was almost empty.

However, churches appeal to the visiting church members for not being able to close the door of the chapel.

[Active pastor: Sitting more than two spaces apart, wearing a mask, not making physical contact, not having lunch, and the total worship time is less than an hour.]

Even so, the large churches that have concentrated their attention have continued to stop many field services.

However, of the estimated 60,000 domestic churches, about 70% have fewer than 100 believers.

Especially, about 45% are very small churches with less than 50 believers.

Many of these small and medium-sized churches have never stopped on-site worship.

That's why the small size has a vague belief that there will be less risk and the lack of funds and facilities for online worship.

However, even within the Protestant world, criticism is blamed for the 'worshippers' who are obsessed with form rather than realistic difficulties.

[Pastor Nam Oh Sung / Co-representative of the Church Reform Practical Regiment: It is God's will to cooperate for society and neighbors. I'm sorry I can't do that.]

This small church in Gyeonggi-do with more than 100 church members has been conducting online worship for the third week through YouTube broadcasting without any equipment.

A transition is needed that recognizes the interruption of on-site worship as part of caring for the neighbor and social distance, not a challenge to religious freedom.
