The court informed that in February 2020, during the first-level response to public health incidents in Yunnan Province, Li Moukai saw people urgently need to buy masks, and glimpsed the "business opportunities" for deceiving and getting rich. He used the public ’s eagerness to download the mask factory inspection report, medical device production license and other pictures and videos from the Internet and sent it to the WeChat group. He posted false information about selling masks in his WeChat circle of friends and the local community WeChat group. A certain number of people have been defrauded, and three victims have been deceived.
From February 9th to 11th, after the victim Zhang Moujia saw the mask sales information released by Li Moukai in the local community WeChat group, he contacted him to buy masks through WeChat, and then paid him through WeChat transfer and Alipay transfer. Masks totaled 13,600 yuan.
From February 12th to 15th, Li Mokai, who was deceived by money, didn't even let his WeChat friend Li Mouming let go. The victim Li Mouming prepaid a mask of RMB 15,910 by WeChat transfer, which was included in his pocket.
During February 16th and 17th, after the victim Zhang Moyue saw the mask sales information released by her circle of friends, she added Weixin to contact Li Moumou, and used Wechat and Alipay to transfer it to 121,000 yuan. Urging Li Moukai to ship, Li Moukai actually whimsically ordered the potato chips online, and the courier company packaged and sent it to Zhang Mouyue. After searching and tracking the express delivery number, Zhang found out that the types of the items did not match, and after he failed to negotiate with him, he reported to the public security organs.
The Linxiang District People's Court heard that the defendant Li Moukai falsified facts, concealed the truth for the purpose of illegal possession, used the Internet to publish false information, and defrauded others of property, the amount of which constituted a crime of fraud.
