Franco-American director Tonie Marshall, the only woman to have won the César for best achievement for Venus Beauty (Institute) in 2000, died Thursday at the age of 68, her agent Elisabeth Tanner announced on Thursday to AFP .
Tonie Marshall died on Thursday morning "from a long illness," said Elisabeth Tanner.
