Icelandic Dadde Freyr has taken the Eurovision crowd by storm long before the final. Dadi and his band Gagnamagnið are already big favorites to take home the competition with the contribution "Think about things".

"It's about loving her"

In the crazy contribution, the band stands on stage in green shirts and plays on pretend instruments. But at the same time, the song is an effective pop song - with an unexpectedly beautiful background story.

- I wrote it when she was four months old. It is about loving her without knowing what she wants to say or what she likes about me, ”says Dadi when SVT News meets him at the Melodifestivalklubbens Melfest WKND in Stockholm.

"She seems to like it"

The song is about the love of his daughter who was born in April last year. About loving her even though he does not yet know who she is and what she thinks. And with the stage in Eurovision also stands the daughter's mother and plays pretend instruments.

How does the daughter react to the song?

- She seems to like it. She has heard it a lot, says Dadde.

He continues:

- I recorded it at home so she heard it from my studio. My wife said she always started dancing when she heard it.
