Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the Endeavor Fund Awards - Starface

It is soon the keel for Meghan and Harry who will no longer be senior members of the British royal family at the end of the month. This week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made what should be their last appearance as representatives of the crown at the Edeavor Fund Awards. The ceremony honors injured veterans who have outdone themselves despite their disability.

But it was not really the evening that attracted attention, but the arrival of the parents of little Archie in the pouring rain in London. Meghan Markle, dressed in a blue dress signed Victoria Beckham, displayed a radiant smile, just like Prince Harry, who held their umbrella. Complicit looks, loving smiles, relaxed looks ... The stress of their royal life already seems far away!

Under the sign of love

To believe that love is contagious, the ceremony also had a very nice surprise. As we can see in the video summarizing the evening posted on the Sussex Royal Instagram account, there was a marriage proposal on stage. Welsh veteran Danny Holland asked for the hand of his companion, Lauren Price, placing a knee on the ground. The young woman said "yes", which seemed to move many the former actress of Suits .

Tonight in London, for their third consecutive year, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the annual Endeavor Fund Awards, which celebrates the achievements of those veterans injured in service who have taken part in remarkable sporting and adventure challenges over the last year. By choosing to take on what seems impossible, these men and women not only set goals for themselves but have also inspired millions of people around the world. These annual awards bring together The Duke and The Duchess alongside wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans as well as their families, friends and supporters of the military community. The Duke, who founded the @EndeavourFund, spoke on the night: • “The Endeavor Fund came from seeing the gaping hole that can be left after taking off that uniform. The power that sport and adventurous challenge plays in recovery, yes; but most of all - the chance to be part of a team again while attempting to achieve unthinkable challenges - as if being shot or blown up wasn't enough, you guys continue to impress, inspire and challenge what it means to have a life changing injury. ” • Since its launch in 2012, the Endeavor Fund has supported 108 projects that have directly assisted over 6,000 of those injured in service. Congratulations to all those who participated in endeavors over the last year and inspired others to push the boundaries of what's possible! #EndeavorFundAwards

Meghan and Harry, who held hands most of the time (an innocuous gesture for most people, but unacceptable for the protocol), congratulated the bride and groom. “They asked us how we felt and if I expected it. They told us they were very happy for us, "said the bride-to-be to the Evening Standard.
