On February 27, 2020, after the death of 33 Turkish soldiers in Idleb, Syria, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his country would no longer prevent migrants from crossing into Europe.

Publicity

Since then, Greece has tried to block all those who hurry to its doors. As a result, there are thousands of sieges at border posts and on the banks of the river between the two countries, divided between hope, anger and discouragement.

"Pushed by Turkey, pushed back by Europe, the ordeal of migrants stranded at the border", a great report by Anne Andlauer.
