March 1st local time is the last day of the traditional Russian holiday, the Winter Festival.

Mrs. Guthra believes that when the goddess overcomes the cold and the night, it is the day when spring comes. Therefore, at the end of February and early March every year, Mrs. Gusla will hold a grand winter greeting ceremony for the spring and the winter festival will be born. The Orthodox Church was introduced into Russia, and the church set the Winter Festival before the Orthodox fasting period. Because it is not allowed to eat meat during the fasting period, the Winter Festival is also a day when the Russians bid farewell to meat, so the festival is also known as the meat festival.

During the seven-day winter festival, people ate meat, drank alcohol, played games, and baked pancakes that symbolized the sun. In addition, on the last day of the winter festival, the people will burn scarecrows to welcome spring. (Reporter Zeng Chen, editor of Wang Xiujun)
