The French Publishers Association said in a statement that the annual Paris book fair, which was supposed to start later this month, had been canceled due to the measures taken by the French government to contain the outbreak of the Corona virus.

"After the French government's decision to ban any gathering of more than 5,000 people in a closed place, we regret the decision to cancel the 2020 edition of the Paris Book Fair," the union said. The Corona virus has killed at least two people and infected about 130 in France so far.
