The fixed medical clinics deployed in various cities and emirates of the country, and the mobile and temporary clinics accompanying the tenth cavalry march of the 10th Pink Caravan, succeeded in providing free medical examinations to screen for breast cancer for 6,748 people, including 5,330 women and 1,418 men.

The clinics affiliated with the march, which continues until next Friday, under the slogan "We are not finished yet", presented 1199 mammograms, 194 of which were in the mobile clinic of the pink caravan, as well as 387 radiological examinations, while its mobile clinic conducted seven radiological examinations.

The fixed clinics received 3,217 people, including 3,057 women and 160 men, while the daily clinics received 2,487 people, including 1,447 women and 1,040 men.

The march revealed that the number of female citizens who underwent examinations under the age of 40 reached 245, compared to 131 women over this age, while the number of female residents who underwent examinations under 40 reached 3734, compared to 1220 women over that age.

The number of citizens who underwent tests under the age of 40 reached 65, compared to 41 over the age of 40, while the number of residents under the age of 40 years reached 875, compared to 437 who are over that age.

The Director General of the Friends of Cancer Patients Association and the head of the medical and awareness committee of the march, Dr. Sawsan Al-Mady, said: “The march has so far demonstrated the place it has reached in the Emirates, given the large numbers that have come to conduct the tests, which calls for pride and praise for the medical teams that share us, And it exerts great efforts that reflect its keenness to provide the exams professionally, in addition to its role in promoting societal awareness about the importance of conducting self and periodic examinations.

Al-Mady added: “The slogan (we have not finished yet) is a message and a call to all members of society inviting them to go to the daily, mobile and fixed clinics provided by the Pink Caravan Walk, to perform tests, gain knowledge about breast cancer, and transfer these concepts and knowledge to families and friends. To emphasize the mission of the march in preserving the health and safety of all members of society ».

Dr. Nada Muhammad Yunus, the doctor at the fixed clinic for the rally in Festival City Dubai, who joined the medical staff for the Pink Caravan Rally since its fifth session, stressed that the march brought a qualitative shift in people's awareness about the necessity and importance of early screening for breast cancer, in addition to strengthening Culture of self-disclosure, and attendance at periodic examinations.

A praise for the efforts

Nicole Cadores (Filipina - 24-year-old) praised the efforts and goals of the Pink Caravan Knights march, stressing that she was used to conducting tests, given the importance of preventing this disease, regardless of age, as breast cancer does not depend on a specific age. Cadores indicated that her habit of conducting examinations in general began since joining the educational college, which requires medical examinations.
