The singing legend, Umm Kulthum, returns to the stage of the Egyptian Opera House, as it will appear on the stage during a concert on the sixth of March, thanks to the technique of hologram.

The head of the Cairo Opera House Magdy Saber announced that the ceremony will witness the use of stereoscopic imaging technology for the first time in the house, noting that the use of new technologies seeks to attract new generations and encourage them to adhere to their history.

For his part, the media advisor at the Egyptian Opera House, Mohamed Mounir, said that the choice of Umm Kulthum comes with the aim of encouraging a return to "authenticity" and to show "our true identity."

The move comes amid a boom in modern popular songs, or what is known as "festivals" music, which is achieving wide popularity in Egypt, especially among young people.

The hologram song continues for between 12 and 15 minutes, during which the two singers Mai Farouk and Reham Abdel-Hakim perform a number of the most famous songs of "Planet of the East".

And for the remainder of the ceremony, Mai and Reham will continue to salute the late Umm Kulthum, but without holograms.

Magdy Saber pointed out similar projects at the Egyptian Opera House to provide concerts with this technique for other names of ritual giants such as Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Abdel Halim Hafez.

And Umm Kulthum remains more than four decades after her death, the most famous icon of Arab music ever. And her voice is still being heard widely throughout the Arab world and the world.

Umm Kulthum had appeared on stage twice last year thanks to hologram technology as well, first in Saudi Arabia, then in Dubai.
