Shnurov commented on his decision to go into politics

“There are not so many people who really know Russia who have traveled around the country and met people. All of our policies are basically “virtual,” he said, answering a question from an RT correspondent about why he is going into politics.

He made a corresponding statement before the meeting of the Public Council under the State Duma Committee on Culture.

Earlier, the head of the faction of the Growth Party in the St. Petersburg legislative assembly, Oksana Dmitrieva, told what Shnurov would do in their party. In an interview with Petersburg Diary, she said that Shnurov was ready to run for election to the State Duma or the Legislative Assembly.

According to her, the musician will be invited to the St. Petersburg parliament before the start of the election campaign.
