Who of Roman Polanski with "J'accuse", Ladj Ly with "Les Misérables", Nicolas Bedos with "La Belle Epoque" or Céline Sciamma with "Portrait of the young girl on fire" will win the César? The traditional award ceremony for French cinema takes place on Friday evening in the Pleyel room, in a tense context.

In a context tense by the Roman Polanski affair, named in twelve categories with his film J'accuse, and the internal crisis which is shaking the Academy, the Césars will be held Friday evening at the Salle Pleyel, in Paris. Among the great successes of the year, they will notably see Les Misérables , by Ladj Ly, a film punch on the suburbs, La Belle Epoque , a dramatic comedy by Nicolas Bedos, and Portrait of the young girl on fire , by Céline Sciamma, a forbidden love story between two women.

Regarding J'accuse , the president of the Académie des César Alain Terzian - who has since resigned en bloc with all his management - said in January that his body should not "have moral positions". But a few days after the conviction of producer Harvey Weinstein, convicted of rape in the United States, and the interview granted by Adèle Haenel to the New York Times , in which she considers that France has "completely missed the boat" of #MeToo , one or more award (s) for the French-Polish director would probably be synonymous with an eventful evening.

Europe 1 draws up the complete list of nominees, category by category.
