Nothing is more dangerous or more deadly than societies than ignorance. Where there is backwardness, ignorance is a hotbed of terrorism, a hotbed of extremism, and a hotbed of drug gang activities and others. In short, it is a hotspot for all the crimes and problems of the world. Fighting ignorance wherever it is!

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he realized this well, and he realized that the Arab world urgently needs to overcome this great obstacle, especially since illiteracy has affected so far more than 30 million people under the age of eighteen in the Arab world, to reach the average illiteracy in our Arab region 17%, which is a large percentage if compared to the huge technological development the world is witnessing and widens the gap between societies with high levels of education and those that suffer from increasing illiteracy, which calls for mobilizing efforts to present solutions to this growing problem.

Therefore, experts, specialists and academics were gathered in Dubai to hold the "Illiteracy Challenge" forum, which lasted for two days, and discussed opportunities and challenges facing Arab countries to eliminate illiteracy, in addition to providing a comprehensive platform that brings together experts and stakeholders in the field of literacy from most of the world, to exchange Experiences and experiences.

The Forum also honored a number of individuals, institutions and governments that have clear contributions in the field of literacy, with the aim of encouraging those concerned and those working in the field of illiteracy and celebrating their achievements, and among the striking personalities that were honored by the Forum, Mohamed Al-Zamlout, Governor of the New Valley in the Republic of Egypt, this man assumed responsibility In a sprawling governorate, and the attendance rate of students in its schools was less than 45%, due to a major reason, which is the distance of schools from areas and villages, so he implemented a set of ideas that contributed effectively to increasing this ratio to almost double, including providing breakfast and lunch meals for each Student , With financial and motivational rewards, so he deserved honor, and he deserved to be a model for other loyal people who seek to advance Arab peoples and societies.
