42% of Spaniards already use their smartphone to find a partner, according to the "Study on the use of technology between couples" by Worten, a reference in the sector of distribution of household appliances and consumer electronics.

But did you think they were only for sporadic encounters or friendships? Well, it seems not. Moreover, the digital community 'Adopt an uncle' has analyzed the number of days elapsed and messages exchanged until users get love to fructify.

ONE YEAR

At this point, it is a known fact that dating applications are an upward trend in recent years and have accelerated the times and the process to meet that special person. In fact, according to Worten's study, 20% of respondents have found some of their partners in this way .

Thanks to the specific searches and filters of these applications, the task of finding compatible people with us is facilitated. However, this does not mean that each user does not have to work the type of relationship they want because, even with these initial facilities, finding a partner is not a matter of two days.

In fact, the study by 'Adopt an Uncle' for 12 months, analyzed the profile of more than 300,000 heterosexual users and determined that it takes almost a year for a relationship to become love .

According to his research, an average of 254 days and 268 messages exchanged are required to find love, understood as a serious relationship.

These data were obtained after analyzing the number of days elapsed and the messages exchanged between the date of the user's registration and the one that were deleted from the subscription (but not before explaining the reason for the cancellation).

BY AGE

Centennials, aged between 18 and 25, are the most fond of flirting in dating apps, a format chosen by 64% according to Worten.

They are followed, not far away, by millennials , with 47%. Just behind, 43% of Spaniards aged 40 to 51 would choose to find a love relationship from these applications.

FOR SEXES

According to the research carried out in the well-known dating app there are slight differences between men and women. These, without becoming significant, could surprise us.

For example, women need less time to meet the other person, specifically 232 days . Men , meanwhile, spend 44 more days (276 days in total), because they argue that they need to know more about the other person.

They send more messages, an average of 321, compared to the 224 they send. Perhaps they already have enough information thanks to the high number of messages issued by their suitors and, therefore, do not need to ask any more.

In the field of seduction, roles are also changing: women are increasingly active.

In any case, these results show us how love is built and nurtured with commitment and dedication to the other person, regardless of the format chosen to meet each other, either face to face or through an application.

Indeed, these tools facilitate many types of contact, however, whoever really aspires to fall in love, should be clear that the process is very similar within these apps.
