Wrapping train operation of the taiga drama "Kirin ga Kuru" begins operation Otsu February 21 18:11

Along with the broadcast of NHK's taiga drama "Kirin ga Kuru", Keihan Electric Railway has started operation of a "wrapping train" featuring characters such as Akechi Mitsuhide on Otsu city lines.

The wrapping train is operated by Keihan Electric Railway, and runs on the Ishiyama-Sakamoto Line, which is near the site of Mitsuhide's Bodaiji Seikyoji Temple and the ruins of Sakamoto Castle, allegedly built by Mitsuhide.

The body is decorated with photos of 24 characters dressed in colorful costumes, such as Mitsuhide played by Hiromi Hasegawa, Dozo Saito, and his daughter's return butterfly, and Sakamoto Castle Ruins on the 21st A departure ceremony was held at nearby Sakamoto Hieiyamaguchi Station in Otsu City.

At the ceremony, Keihan Electric Railway President Michio Nakano said, "I hope this train will run with Mitsuhide's thoughts on Tenkai Taihei and hope that Otsu will become a tourist city."

People who were at home enjoyed photographing colorful vehicles.

Mr. Kazuhiro Nakanishi, Chief of Public Relations Department of Keihan Electric Railway, said, "From next month we will have an event to excite Mitsuhide mainly in the Sakamoto area, so we want to get on a wrapping train and visit as many people as possible."

The wrapping train will run until the end of this year, when the TV drama broadcast ends.
