Downhill had its official US premiere a week ago after first showing at the Sundance film festival in late January. Ski comedy received a chilly reception from the critics. The New York Times calls it "a minor disaster" and The Guardian's judgment reads: "redundant remake".

According to the business newspaper Forbes, the biopublic also failed during the financially crucial premiere weekend.

Now the American company Fox searchlight has decided to postpone the Swedish premiere indefinitely, the company's Swedish branch announces. What is behind the decision is not known Swedish 20th Century Fox, the company says.

"A Different Movie"

The cultural news interviewed actors Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell in connection with the US premiere.

- You are a little damned if you do, damned if you don't . There is no need to make an exact remake, it is a completely different movie, says Will Ferrell about the criticism.
