The Collège de France has just proposed to William Marx to create the chair of comparative literature.

Publicity

The literary historian opposes global literature to the world library, a pledge of cultural and anthropological diversity because it is the addition of all particular libraries. He applies for a reading without borders and without hierarchy, integrating both written literature and oral traditions.

William Marx is the author of Vie du lettré, La haine de la philosophie or Un savoir gai published in Editions de Minuit .
