Swedish pop artist Mabel can win three awards at this year's Brit Awards. The Gala is the British equivalent of the Grammis Gala and is organized for the 40th time. Mabel is nominated in the categories female artist of the year, best new artist and song of the year with the hit song Don't call me up.

Nominated earlier

Among the competitors in this year's category include Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber with I don't care, Sam Smith and Normani with Dancing with a stranger and Stormzy with Vossi bop.

Earlier this year, Mabel was nominated for the Swedish Grammy Gala and the P3 Gold Gala. But at the end of both galas she stood without a prize. Not when she was nominated for the Brit Awards 2018 and 2019 she was rewarded.

Appears on the gal

Mabel broke through 2017 with the single Finders keepers and in the UK she has a large audience. Her first full length album High expectations, which was released this summer, managed to place herself on the UK album list for several weeks. At best, the album reached third place. But it has not been a nomination for this year's album. Instead, it is Harry Styles, Dave or Lewis Capaldi who stand as possible winners.

In addition to having a chance at prices, the Swede will also perform at the gala. So does Lewis Capaldi, who, along with rapper Dave, holds the most nominations at this year's Brit Awards. They have a chance at four awards each.
