The reason is that the existing art collection had an overweight on male artists and motifs, something the Landstings Organization wants to see a change on.

Among the new art that has been purchased are photographs by Denise Grünstein and paintings by Solveig Norrman and Ella Tillema. In addition, the plenary hall in LO Castle will have a new look: Otte Sköld's wall fresco with workers and industrial motifs will be hidden, instead new sculptures by artist Ziggy Berglund will be erected there.
