The Nice Carnival 2020 celebrates the king of fashion - 20 Minutes
Exit the king of cinema. It was fashion, of course, who set the tone for the Nice Carnival 2020, the 136th, on Saturday evening.
And around the podium on Place Masséna, where he organized his very first parade, 17,500 people, from the “front row” to the top of the stands, could admire his latest and most stylish creations. Finally, rather those of carnivalists, dressed in precious fabrics and made in tribute, in particular, to the biggest stars of haute couture: Sonia Rykiel and Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2016 and last year, but also Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Further on, Elizabeth II, renamed "queen of vintage", broke the codes a little on the catwalk. Fortunately, Anna Wintour, the editor of the American magazine Vogue , was also there to distribute the good and the bad points. Six other fashionistas' parades (and four flower battles) are planned until February 29.
