The total seizure of cocaine bales, which have been recovered since mid-October on the Atlantic coast, now exceeds 1.5 tonnes, with discoveries still at the end of January, we learned from the Rennes prosecution.

"The balance sheet is 1,574 kg of cocaine, the last discovery dating from January 28 in the Landes," said Friday to Philippe Astruc, prosecutor of the Republic of Rennes.

83% cocaine purity

"The investigations are continuing, under the authority of the JIRS prosecution [competent in organized crime cases] in Rennes to identify the supply chain in question," continued Philippe Astruc.

The last balance sheet sent at the end of November was over 1.3 tonnes. The size of a shoebox, surrounded by cellophane to be airtight, these bundles contain basic cocaine with a high degree of purity (83%).
