"Had I not had Youtube no one would have questioned it"

After the audience vote during the genre, Anis Don Demina has sailed to become one of the favorites during the Melodifestivel competition in Luleå.

He is a well-known face in the Melodifestyle context. He played saxophone behind Samir & Viktor when the song "Shuffla" made success in 2018. Last year he participated with Zeana. But at the same time, he has a successful career as one of Sweden's biggest youtubers - and he is tired of being portrayed as the only youtuber who makes music.

- I'm big in there and things are going well. But I come from music. I've been making music since I was a kid. I've been playing the piano since I was a kid, says Anis Don Demina to SVT News.

He continues:

- Sometimes it happens that he is the youtuber who plays music. But I see myself as an artist doing Youtube. I do everything an artist does. So I hadn't had that channel no one had questioned it.

On Saturday night, he performs for the first time in the Melodifestivalen as a solo artist. It is a song he has himself written and written and which he himself stands for exactly what he wants to be as an artist. Now he hopes that people will confirm him as an artist and nothing else.

- I want them to feel that he is really good, he tells SVT News.
