The World Health Organization decided to name the "Covid 19" on the disease caused by the emerging coronavirus as an agreed global name, after the organization decided to avoid naming epidemics, viruses and diseases with words that refer to places, people or animals so that they are not linked to these diseases.

The organization will choose neutral scientific names to denote prevalent diseases from now on, hence the name "COVID-19" or "COVID-19" which refers to the abbreviation of the word corona and virus and "desease" which means Corona virus or disease, has been launched. The number 19 to the year in which the disease spread is 2019.

The Corona virus appeared in December late last year in the Chinese province of Wuhan, Hubei province, the epicenter of the outbreak, in which the emerging virus is believed to have begun to appear in a market selling wild animals.

The number of newly infected Coronavirus reached 60,000, most of them in Hubei Province, while the death toll was recorded at least 1,355 cases.
