Governor Koike's ordinance is banned from smoking indoors at restaurants in Tokyo PR 17:31 on February 11

An event to publicize the ordinance was held on the 11th before the Tokyo's passive smoking prevention ordinance, which bans eating and drinking places in principle, was fully enforced from April.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Passive Smoking Prevention Ordinance has been fully enforced since April 1, and restaurants that employ employees are stricter than the law, for example, smoking is prohibited indoors regardless of the size of the restaurant.

On the 11th, 50 days before the enforcement, Governor Koike of Tokyo visited a restaurant in Minato Ward, where all seats are non-smoking, and exchanged opinions with managers and customers.

The manager said, "I am pleased because there are many people with children and the elderly."

After this, Governor Koike greeted, "I would like to advance the Olympics without tobacco, so we ask for your cooperation." We handed out flyers and asked for understanding of the ordinance.

Governor Koike said, "I would like to continue to support the countermeasures as a metropolitan government while appealing firmly in the remaining 50 days."
