Nobody expected to see Eminem on the Oscars stage, and yet that is what happened at the 92nd ceremony. On Sunday evening, the rapper performed Lose Yourself , which won him the Oscar for best original song in 2003. Oscar co-producer Lynette Howell Taylor was delighted with the effect of surprise.
"We contacted him to find out if it was something he wanted to do, and he said yes. We had been thinking about it for a while. It was nice to surprise people - we don't surprise anyone these days, ”she told People.

Eminem was introduced on stage by Lin-Manuel Miranda who presented the sequence devoted to the original songs crowned with an Oscar. In 2003, when the Detroit artist won the statuette, he did not show up to collect his trophy. He therefore made amends 18 years later.
