“There are several hundred million respiratory infections worldwide every year. (…) The chance that this epidemic (of coronavirus) will significantly increase the number of deaths is very low, ”said Professor Didier Raoult, director of Méditerranée Infection, in La Provence , this Friday.

“In the paranoid, there is always one who is right. For infections, it's like for terrorism: there is an overrepresentation in the media which has little to do with the number of deaths ", illustrates the Marseille specialist, who recalls that the so-called ordinary flu is much more deadly.
